You shouldn't have to guess this.

Most people find out whether they're on track far too late.

  • You don't know if you're on track

You've got a pension, some investments and a vague feeling it might be fine. Is it? Nothing you have gives you a straight answer.

  • The spreadsheet never gets finished

You started one. Then it needed three years of spending, and it's been sitting there ever since.

  • Calculators ask you to guess

Generic calculators want you to type in what you spend. The answer is only as good as that guess, and most guesses are wrong.

Three steps to your date

  1. Upload

Download CSV, OFX or QFX files from your bank, and a positions file from your broker. Drop them in.

  2. Review

Your spending is sorted into categories automatically, and transfers between your own accounts are removed. You check it and fix anything that's off.

  3. See your date

Get the year you could retire, how likely it is to hold up, and what each change would do to it.

A 30-second tour, with no sound: the sign-up page, dropping in statements, seeing your retirement year, and moving it on your phone.

Everything early members get

All of this is built and working today.

  • Automatic spending analysis

Your real spending by category, from your own statements, scaled to a year.

  • Your retirement date and number

The year you could stop working and the amount you need, with pensions and rent counted.

  • What-if sliders

Spend less, invest more or change your return, and see the date move as you drag.

  • Success odds from 1,000 simulated markets

Not one straight-line guess. See how often the money lasts through good and bad markets.

  • Portfolio and dividend view

Your mix of shares, bonds and more, and the year dividends, pensions and rent could cover your spending.

  • Two-person plans

Plan as a couple, each with your own age, income and pensions.

Your statements stay with you

Statement and broker files are read in your browser, not on a server. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to save it to an account, where it's encrypted with a key that belongs to your account alone. You can download or delete all of it at any time.

Why access is limited

Every bank exports its files differently. We're opening in small waves so we can fix problems with real statements and give each person proper attention before opening wider.

Each wave has 100 places.

Joining the list is free. It only reserves your place: no card, no commitment.

Questions

Is it free?

Joining the list is free, with no card and no commitment. Pricing after early access hasn't been decided, and you'll hear from us before anything changes.

When do I get access?

We don't have a date yet. We open in waves, working down the queue, and we'll email you when your spot opens. Once you've confirmed, each friend who joins and confirms through your link moves you up.

Is my financial data safe?

Statement and broker files are read in your browser, and nothing leaves your device unless you choose. Anything you save to an account is encrypted, and you can download or delete it at any time. Optional AI category suggestions send merchant names only, after you've seen the list. For the waitlist we hold only your email address.

Which countries does it work for?

It's built for the US, UK and Canada, with the usual state pensions ready to fill in. You can plan in dollars, pounds, Canadian dollars or euros.

Does it work with my bank?

If your bank or card lets you download CSV, OFX or QFX files, it should work, and most do. PDF statements aren't supported yet.

Does it handle tax?

Not yet. You enter take-home figures, and tax-advantaged accounts such as 401(k)s, ISAs and RRSPs aren't modelled separately yet.

Is this financial advice?

No. Retire Me Now gives estimates from the numbers and assumptions you enter. It doesn't know your full circumstances, and it doesn't tell you what to do with your money.
